Sunday night, Eleni left me. That's all I have to say for now. Don't expect to see much here for a while, because I'm just not going to be thinking about updating, most likely.

So. Update. You're all going to despise me for this, but I got a new job. I now work for Redstorm Entertainment as a game tester. I get paid $7 an hour to sit on my butt and/or play video games. S'great, and worlds above my kennel job, what with not having to clean up dog shit for a living. Also, today marks my first, and hopefully only, non-cleaning dental procedure. I had to get a filling in one of my wisdom teeth at 2:30 this afternoon. Blarg. The right half of my mouth is still numb...

You are an assassin. That means you are a proffessional and do your job without mixing any emotions in it. In your life you have probably been hurt many times and have gotten some mental scars. This results in you being distant from people. Though many think that you are evil, you are not. What you really are is a person, trying to forget your pain and past. You are the person who never seems to care and that is why being an assassin fits you good. Atleast, that's what people think. Even if you don't care that much for your victims, you still have the ability to care and to generally feel. It is not lost, just a little forgotten. In crowds you tend to not get to noticed, and dress in black or other discrete colours. You don't being in the spotlight and wish people would just leave you alone. But once you do get close to someone you have a hard time letting go and get real down if you loose him/her.

Yup. Gots me a job now. FINALLY. Too bad I have to get up at ass o'clock in the morning, but I really don't think it'll be too bad. I'm working at a kennel, starting at $8.50 an hour, and I only have to work a 5 1/2 hour shift. Not too bad. Tired though. See you all later.

REAL reasons Americans are opposed to gay marriage...
1) Being gay is not natural. Real Americans always reject unnatural things like eyeglasses, polyester, and air conditioning.
2) Gay marriage will encourage people to be gay, in the same way that hanging around tall people will make you tall.
3) Legalizing gay marriage will open the door to all kinds of crazy behavior. People may even wish to marry their pets because a dog has legal standing and can sign a marriage contract.
4) Straight marriage has been around a long time and hasn't changed at all; women are still property, blacks still can't marry whites, and divorce is still illegal.
5) Straight marriage will be less meaningful if gay marriage were allowed; the sanctity of Britney Spears' 55-hour just-for-fun marriage would be destroyed.
6) Straight marriages are valid because they produce children. Gay couples, infertile couples, and old people shouldn't be allowed to marry because our orphanages aren't full yet, and the world needs more children.
7) Obviously gay parents will raise gay children, since straight parents only raise straight children.
8) Gay marriage is not supported by religion. In a theocracy like ours, the values of one religion are imposed on the entire country. That's why we have only one religion in America.
9) Children can never succeed without a male and a female role model at home. That's why we as a society expressly forbid single parents to raise children.
10) Gay marriage will change the foundation of society; we could never adapt to new social norms. Just like we haven't adapted to cars, the service-sector economy, or longer life spans.
Can you smell the sarcasm? Please post this in your journal if you support gay marriage.

*snickers* I made a palindrome!
ANYWAYS. The five days preceding this one were spent in absolute bliss, mes amis, since my wonderful kitten came down, spur of the moment, and spent Labor Day weekend with us Setzers. Eleni suggested it Wednesday of last week and had her cute little butt at my house Friday around one in the afternoon. We spent the evening playing Silent Hill 2, which is neat, until mon frere brought his little friends over to play Halo. After his pals left, we watched Jason X, which I thought was incredibly neat and cheesy. Saturday was fun, after 3 p.m., the morning and early afternoon being spent doing yardwork at someone else's house. After it was all done, Eleni and I drove to Burlington to surprise David and Eve, since they had no idea that Eleni was in town. They ended up not being home, so Eleni and I decided to walk around in the Antique Mall near their house. During that time we sent text messages to David trying to figure out when they'd be home without giving away that Eleni was here. We ended up not finding out, but they didn't figure it out, either. We got bored and footsore at the Antiques place (that had a metric fuckton of really cool stuff, by the way), and decided to swing back by their house and see if Ed was there so we at least wouldn't be bored waiting for them to get back. He was back by then as well, so we hung out with him, and even had time to go to the bookstore and Blockbuster before David and Eve got home. We went back to the house, and had gotten about fifteen minutes into Boondock Saints (which Eleni had somehow never seen), when David and Eve FINALLY got home. We snuck up the stairs, surprised David a little, then giggled furiously when Eve freaked out and pounced us both. We stayed there Saturday night, and laughed our asses off at Rocky and the corresponding calls provided by Wes and David. We got up on Sunday and all enjoyed a nice IHOP breakfast, then came back and watched Ong Bak (t3h aw3s0m3!!). Ended up getting back home around 5, mere minutes after my parents returned from a HOG charity ride. They do those a lot. We watched House of Flying Daggers, which I had never seen, and just did random stuff until Adult Swim and sleep. Monday was spent watching a CSI marathon that ended up lasting from 9am to 9pm, which was very cool. Then Tuesday came, and Eleni had to leave, and I was sad...
But she'll be back down for my birthday, and not long after that I should be moving up there with her. *thinks happy thoughts*

Sitting here in Burlington, watching my wonderful cute girlfriend destroy cars and lives via Xbox, I'm filled with this glowiness that's nice and comfy and warm. We've spent the whole day lounging around (after crawling out of bed barely before noon); I reading my book, her occupied with vehicular manslaughter (LOVE!). She arrived at my door Thursday, and I've been washed away by bliss since, as usually happens when she visits. We went and saw Sky High Friday afternoon, and watched the Grudge later that night. God DAMN that's a scary-ass movie. I had to watch lots of stand-up with all the lights on after that o.o;;... Anyways, Saturday we drove our cute and happy selves out here to Burlington, to David and Eve's, our two most favoritest people ever, and we'll be here until this coming Saturday. They threw a party for our arrival, which was very nice, and quite fun. Since then, we've all been just hanging out at the house, for the most part, in the times when our hosts aren't at work. I'm enjoying myself immensely, having my kitten here with me, and I wish it didn't have to cease, albeit temporarily. This week has done nothing but amp up my eagerness for the arrival of October.

Yes, you read the subject right. I had to go to court today, at ass o'clock, and pay for a bullshit speeding ticket. Got the charged reduced to nine over in a 45, so my insurance won't skullfuck me, which is always a brightening factor. But, right now, I think I'm going back to bed, since it's nice and drizzly and cloudy, and not at all bright and sunny and godawful-for-my-sleep. Later, all.

Apparently several people tried to contact me in the last week, and were unable to reach me. To them, I apologize, but you'll excuse me if I don't feel bad about not being around. You see, Eleni came down LAST Thursday, and I had her for EIGHT DAYS! It was marvelous. We spent most of that time staying at David and Eve's house in Burlington, because they're awesome and love us and stuff, and we had a great time. We just kinda hung out on Thursday night, since both of them had to work Friday, but Friday night we had a people-painting party! It was lots of fun, and there was plenty of drinking going around, mostly Schmirnoff Twisted drinks, though there was some Wicked Elixir making the rounds. There are lotsa pictures being developed of said party, and maybe some will get shown, or linked to, here. To be honest, though, I enjoyed what came AFTER the party a bit more. On that, we'll just say that my baby has no cause to worry that I will ever stray *winkwinknudgenudgesaynomore*. Saturday we were planning on going to the zoo, but didn't on account of my stomach being the snooty bitch that it can be some mornings. However, the day was not lost, as we instead went to probably the nicest movie theater I've ever been in to see Batman Begins... and Oh My Fucking God did that movie kick ass. Even David, one of the most demanding movie-goers ever, methinks, nearly creamed himself over that movie. Best Batman movie ever. Except for Katie Holmes. She can go die. ANYWAYS. Saturday evening was fun as well, watching home video of long-past parties, in which Eve had the most smoking hot haircut I think she could ever have, and listening to tales of criminal youth from David and his friend Mike. It was fun, and got only better once we hit the sack... *remembers clearly and goes catatonic for a few minutes...*
Moving on. Sunday we got up and headed back to my house for Father's Day. We spent some time around the house, goofing off, and then the whole family (including Eleni) went to visit with my Dad's dad, Pop. We had a good time then, as well, and at the end of it, my grandfather pulled me aside and told me, basically, that he approved and I'd better not screw it up ^^;... and Eleni, scared as she was to meet Pop, adored him. So, Father's day went well. Monday we went to see Jenni at her new place in Goldsboro and were unexpectedly privvy to her breaking up with her man. So that kinda blew, but we hung out with her Tuesday, which was fun, and she prettied me up a bit, trimming my hair and such as was needed. After all that, we headed back to Burlington for the remainder of the week. We got there not long before Eve got home from work. When Eve came home, she dyed my hair back to black, since it was going all multi-colored from the fading and growing out, and we had Domino's for dinner. Wednesday, we hung out with David, since he had the rest of the week off, and ran errands and stuff. Wednesday evening, my baby cooked us all an astounding meal of stuffed pasta-shells, peas, and garlic bread. It was AWESOME. She's such a good cook *drools in remembrance*. Wes had shown up not long before dinner, and after we got it all cleaned up, we decided to play Vampire: The Masquerade. We spent most of the night creating the characters, and it took a while to get into the swing of it. By midnight, we'd not done much, and decided to pick it up again Thursday night.
Thursday was arguably one of the best days of the entire week, because we went to the ZOO!! It was great, we saw the polar bears being cute and lazy, and the sea lions swimming around, and... and... well, there's too much animal awesomeness to really put in here. They didn't have any leopards though, so I was kinda miffed, but all in all it was a grand visit, and we all had fun. After being at the Zoo for about 5 hours, walking around, we went to Ruby Tuesday's to eat, and it was gooooood. Afterwards, we stopped by Wes's house to retrieve him and the Vampire books we were missing, and went back to David and Eve's to finish out our little one-shot. We had a little fun with it, since David and Wes had to re-remember all the combat stuff, being used to the LARP rules, and I think with a more structured game it'd be loads of fun. Friday we got up, and packed, and hung out for a little bit, then drove home... and me and Eleni were both sad that she couldn't stay longer.
I know this hasn't been the most organized entry in the world, but bite me, ye critics, because I'm still coming down off of the euphoria that is ANY amount of time spent with my kitten. Ta, all, you'll hear from me again at some point.
